Your Father in Heaven is Crazy About You!

 

 

 My Scripture for you today: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and for throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

Dear Jerusalem Prayer Team Member,

Your Father in Heaven is crazy about you!

I read the story this morning of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:1-32. The thing that jumped out at me was the compassion and heart of the father. He showed unconditional love, amazing compassion, and extreme forgiveness. I recently met a brokenhearted man who said he had seen God the way he saw his father. His father was a very unjust man. I shared with him how God had healed me of that very thing, and that now I see God as loving and compassionate, a Father who is crazy about me. I prayed for that dear man.

He had a spirit of unforgiveness towards his son. I said, “I want you to go to your son, humble yourself, get on your knees and ask him to place his hand on your head and pray for you.” He asked why he should do that. His son had offended him, not the other way around. I reminded him, “Your Heavenly Father has done that very thing for you.”

Please pray with me today: “Dear Father, thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for keeping all of Your promises. Thank you for your compassion and forgiveness. Please help me to see You today as a loving Father who forgives and forgets. Help me to see You as my Source. Renew my mind with Your Spirit and Word now. Help me to move beyond the feeling of failure and inadequacy because of my earthly Father. Your Word says You are loving, faithful, compassionate, and tenderhearted towards me. It says You are my provider, healer, protector, and Savior. Your Word says You are committed to complete what You have begun in me. Lead me into true intimacy with You. In Jesus’ name.”

After you have prayed with me, will you join hands with me in the greatest step of faith we have ever taken? The largest payment on the Jerusalem World Center has now been made, and we are over halfway toward completing the payments on this miracle building that will mean so much to the Jewish people.

We must pay off the entire balance on the building by December 31st. We have figured it up, and to reach that goal we must make a payment of $777,777 in each of the five months left in the year. This is a great challenge. Making these payments will require more prayer and more sacrificial giving. But I am confident that through the prayers and generosity of friends like you, the need will be met. To help today, go here.

In faith we are planning to dedicate the Jerusalem World Center while we are in Israel on our trip in September. The Jerusalem World Center represents an amazing investment in the future—and a permanent and lasting witness of salt and light to the Jewish people that will remain in the Holy City long after we are gone. We can’t back off or relax as the payments of $777,777 must be made each month. Of course, the number seven is very significant in the Word of God. Seven is the number of perfection and completion—a number linked over and over to the blessing of God upon His work and His children.

I Have to Share with You What God Spoke to my Heart

My Scripture for you today: “Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary: praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness” (Psalm 150:1-2).

I have to share with you what God spoke to my heart

Today I read Deuteronomy 15:7-11 in “The Message” and I just had to share with you what God spoke to my heart:

When you happen on someone who’s in trouble or needs help among your people with whom you live in this land that GOD, your God, is giving you, don’t look the other way pretending you don’t see him. Don’t keep a tight grip on your purse. No. Look at him, open your purse, lend whatever and as much as he needs. Don’t count the cost. Don’t listen to that selfish voice saying, “It’s almost the seventh year, the year of All-Debts-Are-Canceled,” and turn aside and leave your needy neighbor in the lurch, refusing to help him. He’ll call GOD’s attention to you and your blatant sin. Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers GOD, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors.

When I read these verses, I thought of you. God spoke to my heart and told me to tell you how much your support means to the Jewish people and to say, “Thank you.” What you are doing through your support of this ministry today and every day is exactly what this passage is talking about. To God be all the glory!

 

Ahmadinejad Calls for “Annihilation” of Israel

My Scripture for you today: “For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name” (Luke 1:49).

Dear Jerusalem Prayer Team Member,

In a speech to ambassadors from other Islamic countries gathered in Tehran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for the “annihilation of the Zionist regime” as a necessary step to world peace. Clearly revealing his violently anti-Semitic worldview, Ahmadinejad said, “It has now been some 400 years that a horrendous Zionist clan has been ruling the major world affairs, and behind the scenes of the major power circles—in political, media, monetary, and banking organizations in the world, they have been the decision makers.”

When I met this demon-possessed man in New York City two years ago, it was clear to me that he will do anything in his power to carry out his dream of destroying Israel. The branch of Islam he follows believes that a violent and bloody war is essential to the return of the “twelfth Imam” and Muslim rule over the entire world. He is more than willing to die to achieve this goal.

The fact that he is willing to say things like this in public only highlights the vital importance of our support for Israel and the Jewish people. We MUST stand with and for Israel right now. God’s Chosen People are in the crosshairs of a deadly threat, and they need our help.

Jerusalem is Ground Zero for spiritual warfare in our world today. It is vital that you and I do our part to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but to speak out in support of Israel’s right to her capital city. One of the most important tools for us to fight and win this battle will be the Jerusalem World Center. This beautiful five-story building in the Holy City—within walking distance of the Temple Mount—will be a lasting testimony of salt and light to God’s Chosen People and a bulwark of their defense.

We are going to defer this week’s gifts toward our $3,000,000 July goal. We have until Sunday to finish raising the $3,000,000 we must have for the payment on this wonderful building that will touch the lives of so many people and will remain in the Holy City as a beacon of love and hope until the Lord returns. What God is Looking for

My Scripture for you today: “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” (Psalm 103:1-2).

Dear Jerusalem Prayer Team Member,

Today I read Isaiah 58:6-10 in “The Message” where God says:

This is the kind of fast day I’m after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. What I’m interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families. Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. The God of glory will secure your passage. Then when you pray, God will answer. You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, “Here I am.”

The only thing I can add to this Scripture is “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!”

Think about what God has just said, especially as you consider helping us with the urgent need to launch the Jerusalem World Center in the Holy City.

He Didn’t Know Where he was Going but he Refused to Worry

My Scripture for you today: “O sing unto the LORD a new song; for He hath done marvelous things: His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory” (Psalm 98:1).

This morning I read in Hebrews 11:8, “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”

In other words, Abraham had no idea where he was going, but he refused to worry. God had promised to bless him and his family, and that was enough. The promise to him in Genesis 12:1-3 is: “I’ll make you a great nation. I’ll make your name great. I’ll make you a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you. I’ll curse him that curses you. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

Abraham was a friend of God. He looked for a city “whose builder and maker was God.” He sought God’s kingdom first. The Apostle Paul declared in Galatians 3:29, “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Be encouraged today. God is not angry with you. He is not finished with you. You are the seed of Abraham.

Jerusalem is Ground Zero for spiritual warfare in our world today. It is the target of the Enemy who seeks to control the Holy City. It is also a flashpoint of controversy. The official Chinese news agency has issued a condemnation of the statement Governor Mitt Romney made in Jerusalem over the weekend that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. The Palestinians were outraged by the remarks, and their allies are now adding their voices in opposition of the clear Biblical and historical truth that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

It is vital that you and I do our part to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem but to speak out in support of Israel’s right to her capital city.

US Defense Secretary: Iran Closer To Nuclear Weapons

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced last week that the government now thinks Iran is less than a year from having nuclear weapons. This is a major change from previous statements that put an Iranian nuke years into the future (and conflicting with Israeli and other intelligence estimates). Panetta, who had recently downplayed the likelihood of military action against Iran, warning of the economic consequences, also sounded much more belligerent. 

Panetta warned that Iranian nuclear weapons “crossed a red line” and said that not only Israel but the United States as well would take military action before allowing that to happen. Despite these remarks, the Obama Administration still refuses to place serious sanctions on Iran’s Central Bank to bring pressure on Tehran to halt their nuclear program. Congress did pass sanctions against Iranian oil over the president’s objections, but analysts believe banking sanctions would have a more significant impact. 

Defiant Iranian Leaders Promise War If A Military Strike Happens

Even with their nuclear weapons program fully revealed to the world this week, Iran’s leaders remain defiant. President Ahmadinejad said Iran will not change “a needle’s width” from reaching its goals, and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei promised any attack would be met with “iron fists.” The people of Israel have no question about the intentions of Iran—they know that if he can, Ahmadinejad will carry out his goal to see Israel “wiped off the map.” 

Israel has no choice. Since the world shows no willingness to stop Iran, Israel will be forced to take action. The lessons of the Holocaust may have been forgotten by most of the rest of the world, but the Jewish state remembers. There are still nearly a quarter of a million Holocaust survivors living in Israel. They have made the promise “Never Again!” and no matter the cost, Israel must strike. Imagine Living In A Bomb Shelter For Thirty Days…Or Longer

Because Israel is such a tiny nation (the entire country could fit inside Lake Michigan), every single resident is at risk if the war that Israel’s enemies are threatening to launch against her begins. Most of the experts I speak with expect hostilities to increase greatly following the upcoming UN Security Council vote on Palestinian statehood currently scheduled for November 11. During such a war, as much as half of Israel’s population would be forced into bomb shelters, perhaps for as much as a month…if not longer.

If the UN vote does not lead directly to all-out war, which many analysts fear, there remains the threat of Iran’s nuclear weapons program and the near-certainty that Israel will be forced to take military action to stop the mad mullahs of Teheran from gaining access to the ultimate weapons of mass destruction…which they would certainly use as part of their belief that a bloody war is required to bring back the Mahdi and create Muslim rule over the entire earth. The threat is more serious than ever, and we must stand with the Jewish people right now.

I have been in virtually every major battle fought by Israel over the past several decades. I was with the troops during the Hamas and Hezbollah war comforting my people even as missiles flew over our heads to rain down death and destruction on Jewish men, women, and children.

Israeli diplomat friends called me and begged me to leave the war zone—to get out of the line of fire. They warned me, “You could die.” I responded that I planned to die; death would be no shock to me. Until that day comes, I will do everything within my power to obey my Savior and defend my people.

I have seen firsthand that in the south of Israel great numbers of Russian Jewish refugee children do not have bomb shelters in which to seek safety. I can tell you that there will be an enormous need for food, medicine, and blankets.

In Arab countries, Jews will be hanged, shot, and blown up when the war comes. This is especially true in Iran. We must do everything in our power to “blow the trumpet in Zion.”

This is the Word of the Lord for you and me today. Can you imagine what you would do if you knew your children and grandchildren were in harm’s way and a missile would hit their home? I know you would do everything humanly possible to protect your loved ones.

God wants us to do everything humanly possible to protect His loved ones—your brothers and sisters in Israel. Will you stand with me today in support of the Jewish people?
