I can hear their cries for help—the poor Holocaust survivors of Israel who wonder if anyone cares about their urgent needs. The vast majority of these dear people have never seen a single act of love from a Christian…but together we can change that.
Many thousands of Holocaust survivors are living in desperate poverty, unable to afford to heat their apartments and still buy the food and medicine they need. These precious people have endured so much, and God loves them. I’m convinced you love them, too, and today I’m urging you to stand with me and support the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we work to meet these urgent needs—made even more urgent by the looming threat of war and the threats that Israel is facing on every side.
This week’s celebration of Purim is a time for happy feasting and joy, but for so many who do not have enough food to eat, it will be anything but happy. I am asking you today to be God’s arms of love wrapped around a poor, elderly Holocaust survivor. We are going to host a special Purim party at the Jerusalem World Center…your home in the Holy City…for Holocaust survivors and meet their most urgent needs.
